FleetPartners, who have provided fleet management and automotive leasing solutions in New Zealand for over 40 years, asked Platform Consulting Group to oversee the refurbishment of their Auckland headquarters. The existing workspace was tired and dated, with teams feeling disconnected from managers in seperate offices. As well as creating a non-hierarchical and more collaborative environment, they wanted the space to be flexible for future growth and also let in more natural light.
Staff were moved to a temporary building next door while phased work took place. Walls were knocked down to imitate their flagship Sydney office, and a ‘playroom’ with a magnetic picture wall for creative breakout sessions was added. Other features included an outdoor space graffitied by a local artist. Feedback from FleetPartners is excellent: staff are more collaborative, modern furniture has improved working conditions and the local team now feels it has its own identity.
