The Burton Partners fit-out represents a collaborative design journey between Platform and the Burtons team, focused on creating a workplace that supports both functionality and culture. The brief called for a balance of privacy and openness, with a non-hierarchical layout that prioritises light, views, and accessibility for all staff.
The Burtons 2.0 space is an evolution of their previous office — sophisticated yet uncomplicated, timeless in its expression while remaining warm and welcoming. A strong emphasis was placed on user experience and wellbeing, ensuring the environment supports focused work, collaboration, and everyday comfort.
The tenancy offered exceptional fundamentals, including generous floor-to-ceiling heights, abundant natural light, and expansive views. These qualities were deliberately maximised through the layout, with the best outlooks shared democratically across the team. Elements of the building were left exposed — including concrete columns and roof structure — allowing the industrial bones of the building to sit alongside refined materials and detailing.
Sustainability and value were also key considerations. Burton Partners’ prior investment in high-quality furniture enabled extensive reuse, with existing pieces seamlessly integrated both functionally and aesthetically. The result is a workplace designed for longevity — supporting Burton Partners’ culture and success for years to come.
