Their renovation brief to us was two-fold. Firstly, to greet high net worth clients, they wanted a front of house with a hunting lodge feel that also incorporated the client’s love for tropical fish. And secondly, the brief included a large open-plan breakout area with a less formal feel; a place for engineers to work collaboratively, for those working extended hours or for staff to enjoy downtime.

The hunting lodge look was achieved with natural timber, façade stone work, feature joinery and a specialist ceiling finish. Structural designers helped with the challenge of installing a large aquarium on the top floor of an A Grade building. And the open plan area was successfully achieved using a modular layout to offer flexibility and encourage collaboration.
