The original Serato office, which spanned over 4 floors and 2,700m2 on Greys Avenue, left the company with an abundance of space and a need for a more dynamic workplace.
With a youthful, creative team of DJs, designers, developers, mix-masters and marketers a move to Ponsonby seemed like a natural fit for the Serato team, their new 1,400m2 office is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of Ponsonby Central.
The client’s primary motivation behind the design of their new space was to encourage collaboration for a more hybrid workforce, enhance their amenities, and inject personality and brand into the space.
Rich in amenities, the new office includes a kitchen hub, multiple social hubs, DJ stations, a band room and a cutting-edge music studio that supports the engineering of Serato products. The fit-out also includes a mix of open collaborative spaces, private workspaces, and quiet areas for focused work.
Technology is seamlessly integrated throughout the fit out to enable flexibility, AV conferencing and work from home capabilities. Acoustics were a critical consideration in the design to reduce noise transfer between meeting rooms, work areas, breakout spaces, the band room, and the music studio.
Overall, the new space provides a working environment that aligns with Serato’s adaptive and technologically advanced culture.
